REACHING IISER THIRUVANANTHAPURAM
IISER TVM campus is located in Vithura, in the north-eastern part of Thiruvananthapuram city. The campus is about 7 km from Vithura Junction. It is a small village situated about 40 km from the city. Vithura serves as a pit-stop on the way to the beautiful Ponmudi hill station and Agasthyamala Biosphere Reserve.
FROM THE AIRPORT:
IISER TVM is about 47 km from Trivandrum International Airport. A taxi will cost around Rs. 2000/- from the airport to the campus.
FROM THE RAILWAY STATION/KSRTC CENTRAL BUS STATION:
IISER TVM is about 46 km from Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station/KSRTC (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) Central Bus Station, popularly known as Thampanoor. KSRTC bus services are available from the bus station (situated opposite to the railway station) to IISER TVM. Bus fare from Thiruvananthapuram Central to IISER TVM is about Rs. 65/-. A taxi will cost around Rs. 1900/- from the railway station to the campus.
THE FOLLOWING ARE ADVISED
If you are coming by taxi or autorickshaw, please get the vehicle inside the campus as it can be a fairly long walk from the gate with the luggage.
In case of not getting direct bus to IISER TVM, you can alight at KSRTC bus stand vithura and can get an autorickshaw or a KSRTC bus to IISER TVM. KSRTC buses halt at Jersey Farm bus stop which is close to institute main gate. An autorickshaw from KSRTC Vithura stand to IISER TVM will cost around Rs. 180.
